Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Skill Forge AI ("the Service") is an AI-powered resume optimization platform operated by Skill Forge AI, Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"). You upload your resume and a target job description. Our optimization engine analyzes both, identifies gaps in keyword coverage and formatting, and produces an improved version of your resume designed to perform better with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and human reviewers.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Free Tier

The free tier includes up to 3 resume optimizations per account (lifetime). Free accounts are limited to the Classic template with the B&W color scheme only. PDF exports on the free tier include a small Skill Forge AI watermark. DOCX downloads, clipboard copy, and inline resume editing are not available on the free tier. Diff-view tooltips are not included.

4. Paid Subscriptions

Skill Forge AI offers two paid subscription tiers, billed through our payment processor (Stripe). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.

  • Pro Monthly ("Anvil") — $19.99/month: Up to 15 optimizations per calendar month. Access to Classic, Modern, and Compact templates with B&W, Forge, and Slate color schemes. PDF exports without watermark. DOCX downloads, clipboard copy, and inline resume editing are not available on this tier. Diff-view tooltips are not included.
  • Pro Annual ("Premium") — $99/year: Unlimited optimizations. Access to all 6 templates and all 8 color schemes, including premium-exclusive combos. PDF and DOCX exports without watermark. Clipboard copy, inline resume editing, and diff-view tooltips are included.
  • Cancellation:You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings. When you cancel, you retain access to your plan's features through the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds: If you are unsatisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase or most recent renewal. Refund requests can be sent to support@skillforgeai.com. After the 7-day window, no refunds are provided for the current billing period.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information in your account and resume content. Do not submit fabricated credentials, degrees, or work experience.
  • Use the Service only to optimize resumes for legitimate job applications on your own behalf.
  • Not submit content that is fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes any third party's rights.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service or its AI outputs.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain full ownership of your resume content, including all text, experience, and personal information you submit. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process it solely to provide the Service to you. The AI-generated optimized resume output is yours to use freely.

Our platform: The Service, its interface, underlying technology, and all Skill Forge AI branding are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our trademarks, logos, or platform code.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in job interviews or employment. AI-generated optimizations are suggestions. you remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any resume you submit to employers.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skill Forge AI, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost profits or loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Data Handling

We take your data seriously. Our Privacy Policy describes in detail what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using the Service, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless immediate action is required to protect the Service or other users.

You may delete your account at any time via Account Settings. Upon deletion, your personal data is purged in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may close your account before they take effect.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
